Unmoved

This image was captured from a Fall day in October of this past year (2025) while exploring the Western part of my home state (CO). I was inspired by the mountains presence and the way the light filtered through the clouds onto the field and shimmered along the edge of the tree line. I wanted to capture the enormity and grandeur of the mountain that is never captured sufficiently in photographs. I am constantly inspired by the mountains in Colorado and love the Salida region and the Collegiate Peaks. On this day the light, weather, and atmosphere were perfect representations of why I love living in this area of the country. I aim to allow those that live here as well as those that may have never been to take a moment of mindfulness while reflecting on the the unmovable presence of the mountain that moves something within them. The irony of the title is intended to reach something within the viewer and allow them to pause for a moment of stillness, nostalgia, or hope while recognizing the vastness of our world and all the beauty in our grasp.
